Our client was admitted to a public hospital for elective gynaecological surgery.  The treating surgeon negligently perforated our client’s bowel/rectum during the surgery resulting in our client suffering permanent disabilities including loss of mobility, chronic pain, major depression and use of a colostomy bag.  Our client’s claim was settled for $1.2m.
